THE JOURNEY

2020

We began investigating parent's experiences with current memory keepsake solutions and learned most were just as  overwhelmed by the task as we were and 70% wanted to capture stories but had nowhere convenient to do it.

2021

Lydia built a simple prototype, shared it with Founders Institute and started getting feedback from the parent community. Using the feedback, she rebuilt it many times.

2023

Build began in late 2023. Our parent friends and
community continued to support us with their feedback.

2024-2025

We can't wait to share the Beta app soon!

FAQS

WHEN WILL THE APP BE READY?
We're hopeful for 2025.

This is our first app so there are new challenges to overcome. We're taking one day at a time and are constantly being motivated by our love for our kids. Follow our facebook page  or join the waitlist to stay updated.

WHAT'S THE MOTIVATION BEHIND NOMII?
  • Ultimately we're driven and motived by love for our children.

  • We all have a call to the creative that pulls us toward building something exciting, helpful & challenging.

  • We're all frustrated by the lack of storytelling and prompts in current solutions.

  • We're all passionate about helping other families build a narrative of love, identity and belonging for their children.
WILL  MY MEMORIES BE SAFE?
Privacy and security is paramount for a solution that is reliable, future proof and secure. Here's our plan to manage data:
Privacy First principles - no one else sees memories unless they are directly shared by you.

Data protection policy - we will never share or sell your data without consent and only minimal data is collected.

Data encryption - safeguards against unauthorized access during transmission and storage.

A first-party data strategy: high quality, unintrusive ads to allow us to keep the app running while maintaining user privacy.

User owned data: Users can export or erase their own data at any time.

CAN I PRINT PHOTOBOOKS WITH NOMII?
Not yet.

We're pursuing better ways to future proof memories that support different files types...stay tuned as more will be revealed about this as we get closer to launch.

CAN I SHARE MEMORIES WITH FAMILY?
Not yet but it's likely to be in the feature list  for subsequent versions of Nomii.

We want to ensure families separated by geographical distance can feel more connected in two ways:

1) Through following: Account holders could invite others to view memories as a follower on a free tier of Nomii.

2) Shared Accounts: users could add special people to an account, allowbing more people to contribute.
